CADC-I Case Manager
B.J. Houle was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. He started drinking at the young age of 12 and continued to drink and be in active addiction until he was 22 years old. B.J. hit bottom at that time and was able to start making changes in his life. He went to therapy, and basically got sober on his own.
At about 2 years sober, he felt a need to help others and obtained a job at a treatment facility as transportation staff. Shortly thereafter, he moved up to tech supervisor and also committed to school and started studying to get his CADC. B.J. has been with Alo House since 2016 and loves that he is encouraged here and given tools for his own personal growth. He is now a Case Manager and is able to give others the help and assistance that he was not fortunate enough to have.
B.J. loves that everyone at Alo House works as a team and offers a multitude of healthy outlets for our clients to explore activities and interests that may have been stolen by their addiction or even learn something new for the future chapters of their lives! He wants our clients to “find the happiness and desire for more things than just being an addict.”
