Family Program Coordinator
Jody Waxman was a pre-school teacher for over 36 years when one of her children called her and told her they were a heroin addict and needed help. She went back to school at 55 years of age to receive her Drug and Alcohol Counseling credential.
Jody has 2 children whom she loves very much and is so happy that her son is now clean and sober. She also put on the first educational symposium on heroin in Granada Hills and is on the board of directors for ‘Because I Love You’ which is a non-profit parent and youth support group. She has been doing that for 10 years.
All of this experience makes her the ideal person for Alo House Recovery Center’s Family Program. Jody truly loves working in this field.
We believe trust, meaningful connections, and kindness are the essentials to beginning a journey in recovery. We are dedicated to providing an honest, authentic, and genuine treatment environment that gives our clients a unique opportunity for healing.
