Alo House is unlike any other recovery center – most significantly, it is NOT a business, nor is it run like one! Alo saved my life and I will forever be grateful for what turned out to be one of the best experiences of my life. Rehab can be a drag – you feel sad, ashamed, alone, and sometimes trapped. Alo House makes you feel strong, safe, loved, and supported throughout your recovery, and this empowering environment is what makes all the difference in the world in making sure you get sober, stay sober, and are happy in the new life you actually get to LIVE.
This drastic difference from other rehabs/recovery centers is the exact reason why Alo House is unique, and it is that difference created by the genuine love and concern the staff has for each and every client and the unbreakable bonds you create that make all the difference in the world. There are not enough words in the English language, nor in all the world’s vernacular combined, to express how grateful I am to have become part of the familial fellowship at Alo House that continues to support me, keep me honest, and make me feel loved and not alone – day in and day out, and I’ve been out of the House for almost a year now. I could not recommend choosing Alo House for your recovery journey any more genuinely or passionately.
Getting sober isn’t easy, but it doesn’t have to be a soul-sucking, depressing bummer either. If you are serious about getting sober, you will inevitably have to go through difficult self-reflection, like Dante’s inferno – the only way out of this HELL is THROUGH! – and Alo House makes that introspective journey freeing and empowering, rather than depressing and shameful. The staff, everyone from the drivers, to the therapists, RAs, case managers, to the nurses, and the chefs — everyone brings a special dynamic to the House that makes you feel connected, loved, and supported every hour of every day. They are willing to accommodate you, are very understanding and WANT to do ANYTHING they reasonably can to make you feel at home — welcome home, to Alo House. Your recovery starts now, but the fellowship you’ll build, tools you learn to equip yourself with and strength you’ll gain from watching yourself grow, listening to others in group sessions, hearing yourself be honest for the first time in a long time and being heard by people who genuinely understand you and care about making sure you get better so you can LIVE will last for life!
