We found ALO House via yelp – the reviews were all positive and spoke to us. We were looking for a dual treatment facility with an emphasis on young people – our daughter is 19 and we felt she would be more comfortable with people within her own age group, which is and was the case. The therapists were remarkable – from our standpoint and our daughters. I had many conversations with Marley Cohn which were insightful and appreciated – no BS.
The program is a lot less dogmatic and rigid than many other facilities – it seems they go out of their way to accommodate the patient and the patient’s personality. Many outside activities such as horse back riding were also attractive – I think it’s important to give the patient a break and let them air out. I’ll probably have to edit this post because to describe this wonderful facility will take a couple of passes, but to be sure, ALO house is concerned and focused on truly bringing needed change to their patients – and giving them the necessary tools to make the proper choices and deal with any indiscretions through their lives.
